Dr. Denise Shih

Dr. Shih is a Board-Certified Periodontist and a Diplomate of American Board of Periodontology. Originally from Brazil, she attended Marquette University for her residency followed by a three-year residency program in Periodontology at the University Minnesota. Dr. Shih has been practicing the art of periodontics for over a decade. Dr. Shih is proficiently trained in all aspects of periodontics including non-surgical and surgical treatment of periodontal diseases, periodontal bone regeneration and periodontal soft tissue grafting. She also has extensive training in the surgical placement of dental implants, hard tissue grafting including sinus augmentation and soft tissue grafting to enhance esthetics of dental implants.

Dr. Shih is dedicated to delivering the highest quality dental treatment. She believes in prevention first and foremost. She strives to provide her patients with the best treatment options available focusing on what is necessary for their long term oral health.

I am devoted to preserving and enhancing your oral health by working side by side with your primary dentist. When not practicing periodontics, she lives in Mequon with her husband and two children, she is active in the community and in organized dentistry and enjoys fishing and traveling.

Dr. Austin Dodge

Dr. Austin Dodge is a specialist Periodontist from Marquette University. A “green and gold blooded” Wisconsinite, he was born in the Fox Valley, and grew up in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Sciences, Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and Master’s of Science in Periodontology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Dr. Dodge was trained on the motto of Cura Personalis (care for the whole person) and always strives to “do what is right” for his patients. His top priority in patient care is to establish a partnership with his patients in order to work together to achieve their goals and establish exceptional oral health.

“Periodontal disease is complex; as such I feel it is essential that each patient completely understand the root cause of their disease and the rationales for treatment. That way we can work together to establish life-long periodontal health.”

When not in the office, Dr. Dodge lives in West Bend with his beautiful wife, Amanda. He is dedicated to the betterment of all the communities he is a part of including the American Dental Association, Wisconsin Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, his church, and the new town he calls home. If he is not in the kitchen cooking up a new dish, Austin enjoys golfing with his twin brother Dr. Ryan Dodge, hunting, fishing, triathlon training, or anything else the beautiful Wisconsin outdoors has to offer.
